Key Staff

Hugh Percival Managing Director

Hugh has worked in the entertainment and live event industries since 1993 when he started working for a major supplier of live production services based in Mid Wales.  Following an electrical apprenticeship he has gained many qualifications at distinction.  A fully qualified electrician and Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, he holds a JIB ECS Platinum Card.  With much practical experience of industrial, commercial, agricultural and event power systems, Hugh uses knowledge gained over years to enable HPES to provide a service offering of consistent high quality.

A move into international broadcast communications in late 2000 provided experience in HV power and control systems along with high power transmission and propagation equipment.  In 2002, an opportunity to work in the sales and marketing arm of that organisation arose and Hugh took his technical experience into a solution sales role.  Complex methods were often required to ensure that organisations were able to be heard all over the world while complying with local regulations.

In late 2004, Hugh established his own electrical business becoming incorporated in 2006.  In 2011, a clear strategic direction was put in place to ensure the growth and development of HPES Technical Solutions Ltd.  Very much involved in the operational side of the business, Hugh strives to ensure the team caters for exacting client requirements while ensuring that the service provided is of the highest quality.
